I just returned from the brand new AZUL Fives resort (Riviera Maya, Mexico) and it’s beautiful. From the lobby to the restaurants, pools and beach area, around each turn was an exceptional resort inclusion. Then we saw the suites. The AZUL Fives was so much more than I anticipated. It will exceed your every expectation.

IThe opening date for the newest member of the Karisma Resort family, AZUL Fives is set for November 1, 2010. The simplicity of the lobby with its bright red lanterns, fresh floral designs and black accent features filled the area with understated elegance and a sense of relaxation. It was the perfect entrance into the world of Karisma’s AZUL Fives.

The ability to choose your suite configuration is perfect for multi generational family travel. I especially loved the roof top barbecue area of the three bedroom suite, complete with spa and a killer view of the Caribbean Sea. The perfect suite for the bride and her “ladies in waiting”, the bridal couple, or parents. Imagine hosting a pre-event cocktail party for guests in this private space, or sharing a bottle of champagne under the stars, just the two of you, while relaxing in the rooftop jacuzzi. Anything is possible, just dream it and the resort staff will make it happen.

An incredible pool area includes a beautiful infinity pool flanked by two jacuzzies, a swim up bar, cushy, comfy lounge chairs and of course the beautiful beach. The beach to pool area appeared seamless, like they were meant to be together. Other pool areas within the resort offer a unique mode of transportation for the water lovers in your group, a lazy river.

Where can moms, dads and kids have the newest of Fisher Price toys, and My Gym Fitness in the kids center? AZUL Fives of course! The outdoor area of the kids center is shady with green grass, complete with a pool just for the little ones. A “toy lending” feature is also available to families making it easy to take your child’s favorite toy back to your suite. AZUL Fives by Karisma also offers a full set up for families when they arrive. The AZUL Fives specialists at Enchanted Getaways relay your family friendly requests before your arrival. When you arrive in resort your suite is complete with all your family needs right down to the stroller, bottle warmer, crib etc.

Karisma is know for it’s Gourmet Inclusive concept, and at AZUL Fives the concept has been fully embraced. Sea Olive is Mediterranean Cuisine set right by the water at AZUL Fives. We were lucky enough to experience the restaurant for lunch. It was nothing short of amazing. TSUKI serves international cuisine with sweeping view of the sea just to the outside of the restaurant. I can’t say enough about the cuisine and the service it is definitely Gourmet Inclusive by Karisma.

Oh, did I mention the ZKY Bar (Sky Bar and Lounge)? With rooftop views of the Caribbean Sea, the infinity pool and the palm tree studded beach, the ZKY Bar offers both indoor and terrace seating and service, an exceptional area for a romantic evening for two or a celebration of many. The AZUL Fives rates a TEN from me.
