My Top 10 WOW’s in Riviera Maya

In mid May before I left for a resort inspection trip to the Riviera Maya, I decided to keep an eye out for ”UNIQUE RESORT WOW FACTORS”. I was going to look for things you don’t see every day….
Here are my picks…
1. Lomas Travel – Luxury Non-Stop Transfers in a Lincoln Navigator, not exactly a “green” choice but welcome after the long flight from Minneapolis
2. Catalonia Royal Tulum – The TRIPLE, oceanside, raised jacuzzi hot tubs
3. Excellence Playa Mujeris – Seaside violinist AND the glassed in table for 2
4. El Dorado Maroma – The entertainment specifically the “Michael Jackson Show” my only complaint…I wanted more
5. Bahia Principe Tulum – Swim with Dolphins right on the property, perfect for families….become a “trainer for a day”
6. Occidental Xcaret – Their Royal Club, it was like a botique hotel within a large city, the best of both worlds
7. El Dorado Seaside – Their coconut “nursery”. They sprout the fallen coconuts right on the property, and donate them out to the community
8. Barcelo Maya Tropical – Havana Cigar Bar, I am not a smoker BUT…I loved it….it was quiet with a great outdoor patio complete with rockers.
9. La Amada – Poolside table for 2 and it’s all about you
10. Bahia Principe Tulum – Snack bar served a full rotisserie chicken
