Wrestling at a Puerto Morelos Restaurant?
A wrestling theme at a romantic Puerto Morelos restaurant? Who would have thought. It just goes to show that you can’t judge a book by it’s cover or a restaurant by the wrestlers painted on the walls. When “lookin for love” what might seem like the wrong place may be exactly what you are looking for so keep an open mind.
We had lunch at the La Panza restaurant in downtown Puerto Morelos at the recommendation of the concierge when we stayed at the Valentine. La Panza they said serves Mex-Mex food. It’s all Mexican and it’s all fresh and delicious with a Mexican wrestling theme.
Your dining experience is just steps from the Caribbean Sea, open air and casual. It’s not fancy as far as table linens and glassware but romantic in a sense that the two of you can enjoy a wonderful corner table on the waters edge sipping a glass of wine or a latte. Yes, a latte, who would have thought.
Keep this in mind as you plan your honeymoon or destination wedding. The options that might be available locally for you and your guests are what I like to call hidden gems. How about a snorkeling excursion right off the beach in front of La Panza and then lunch? The restaurant is casual to a point that a beach cover up and flips flops work just fine, so with a little imagination, an ordinary day becomes an exceptional experience for just the two of you or your whole wedding party.
Remember that making a memorable event does not necessarily translate into places far away and super exotic. Can you imagine what your guests will talk about when they return home after their day at La Panza. The beautiful waters, the snorkeling, the dining experience and the wrestlers.
